
55 Annual Rotary
Can-Am curling bonspiel. 2009 Stratford, Ontario
The Rotary club of Stratford invites curling Rotarians to take
part in this annual curling event to be held on January 8, 9 and 10, 2009. The winning Canadian team will have the
opportunity to represent Canada
in the Rotary Worlds Curling Championship to be held in Perth Scotland in 2010.
The Stratford
Rotary club members, along with the Stratford
Country Club and the St. Marys Curling
club are the hosts for this three day event.
Curling:
All teams are guaranteed 4 games. These games will take place in two
locations on each of the three days. Games are being played at the Stratford Country club and
at the Lind Centre in nearby town of St.
Marys. Each club has four sheets. The first draw
Curling commences at 2:30 p.m.
on Thursday at each location. The second draw starts at 5.00 p.m. You will be advised in advance which
draw your team will start and the location.
Transportation is being provided for teams playing in St.Marys and will
leave the River Garden Inn one hour prior to each game time.
A team that plays their first game in St.Marys on Thursday will play
their next two games in Stratford
on Friday. Similarly, teams playing on Thursday in Stratford will play their next two games on
Friday in St. Marys. Transportation to and from St.Marys will continue on Friday and Saturday, leaving
from the River Garden Inn one hour prior to game time. Please see the
schedule for draw times on Friday and Saturday.
On Saturday some teams will play their fourth game in St.Marys in the
morning, however all the finals will be played at the Stratford Country club in Two draws in the
afternoon.
Prizes will be presented following each final draw on Saturday afternoon
at the Country club.
