The Rotary Club of Stratford supports Rotary House League Minor Hockey by providing volunteers to staff the gates on the final weekend.
In 1997, we donated $10,000 to build a concession booth in the Rotary Coliseum, predecessor to the current Rotary Complex. The Rotary Hockey League Liaison committee attends joint meetings with Rotary Minor Hockey in order to organize the Minor & Rotary Hockey Tournament.
The Minor & Rotary Hockey Tournament is a four day event at Christmas. Rotarians are responsible for sales at the door, creating and selling program ads, managing the Big Six Draw, and helping at the concession booth at the Rotary Complex. The proceeds are split 50/50 with SMHA. Founder of this project was past president, Dr. John Pyper.
